Brenda Hwang

I’m Brenda Hwang, MS, BCBA, and founder of Milestone Makers. I have over 10 years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), across school, home, and center-based settings, and with individuals ranging from early childhood through adolescence. In addition to building Milestone Makers, I currently serve as a Clinical Director for another organization, where I’ve had the privilege of leading teams, mentoring clinicians, and supporting families with diverse needs.

My practice is grounded in both ABA and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), blending evidence-based strategies with a compassionate, individualized approach. I believe in spreading kindness, promoting acceptance, and advocating for inclusion—especially for those who are often seen as “different.” Families can expect services that not only build meaningful skills but also honor dignity, individuality, and connection.

As a BCBA, I deeply value competency, ongoing learning, and the responsibility of sharing knowledge about ABA and ACT with families and the broader community. At Milestone Makers, I emphasize collaboration, communication, and inclusion in every interaction, partnering closely with parents and caregivers to ensure that care is effective, affirming, and sustainable.
