Ruth Hudson

Ruth Hudson, BCBA, is the founder of The Proactive Parent ABA and has over 8 years of experience working with children and adults with diverse and complex needs. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and has worked in both home and telehealth settings, where she values the flexibility telehealth provides while still achieving meaningful progress. Over the past year, Ruth has focused exclusively on telehealth parent training and has seen strong outcomes by helping caregivers implement practical strategies in their everyday routines.

Ruth specializes in parent and caregiver training, with a particular focus on supporting adults and individuals with multiple or comorbid diagnoses. She is deeply committed to supporting caregivers who may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of what to do next. Her approach is rooted in collaboration—listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and working alongside families to create attainable, individualized solutions.

My goal is to help caregivers build confidence, foster resilience, and support their child or adult in participating positively and meaningfully in everyday family life through practical, realistic support.
